This course introduces employees to the foundational systems, policies, and practices that support safe medication management in residential care settings.
Through four focused modules, employees learn about medication safety systems and organizational responsibilities, storage and handling policies, medication error types and causes, adverse reactions, and reporting and continuous improvement processes. The course emphasizes that medication safety is a shared responsibility—individual adherence to policies combined with effective communication and a supportive organizational culture creates systems that protect residents.
