Preventing Bullying and Harassment in British Columbia Home and Community Care
Bullying and harassment can have serious impacts on workers’ physical and psychological well-being, team functioning, and the quality of care provided to individuals receiving support. WorkSafeBC requires employers to take steps to prevent and address bullying and harassment by providing training on recognizing concerning behaviors, responding appropriately, and understanding reporting and resolution procedures.
This course prepares home and community care workers to identify bullying and harassment, distinguish these behaviors from reasonable management actions, respond safely and professionally, and participate in reporting and resolution processes. Through realistic scenarios, learners develop practical skills that contribute to respectful, psychologically safe workplaces.
